Commission or Omission?

Two words that sound the same but mean different things. Both can get you in trouble. The commission of something can be bad or good. Committing an offense is a good example of a bad thing but committing your password to memory is a good thing. Omission of an important step in a process, such as a background check on an employee could have a bad result, but omitting a hateful comment on social media from a summary of feedback would be a smart thing to do. It is early in the year, a good time to think about the good stuff we want to commit to doing this year and the bad stuff we want to omit from our lives.
